Domonique Luchin on AI Systems and Revenue Operations

AI is not a magic layer you pour on top of a broken business to make it work. Domonique Luchin learned this early. The automation only performs as well as the process underneath it. Build the process wrong, and the AI scales the failure. Build it right, and the AI becomes a genuine operational multiplier.

Here is how he thinks about designing AI systems and revenue operations across his portfolio of seven Houston-based ventures.

Start With the Process, Not the Tool

The most common mistake in business automation is tool-first thinking — picking a platform and then trying to fit your operation into it. Domonique Luchin works in the opposite direction. He maps the process first: what triggers this workflow, what decisions get made, what output is required, and where human judgment is actually needed versus where it is just a habit.

That mapping exercise usually reveals that most processes are simpler than they appear, most bottlenecks are in handoffs between steps, and most of the value in automation comes not from the AI itself but from forcing clarity on the process before encoding it.

The Communication Layer

Across all seven ventures, the front door to every business is a conversation — a phone call, an SMS, a form submission, a voicemail. Domonique Luchin built a shared communication infrastructure to handle that front door at scale.

The stack runs on a self-managed Asterisk PBX server, a VoIP.ms SIP trunk, and VAPI AI agents — one per business, each with a dedicated phone number in Houston area codes. Inbound calls are routed to the appropriate agent, which handles qualification, answers questions, books appointments, or escalates to a human based on what the conversation requires.

The outbound side uses the same infrastructure for cold outreach — AI-assisted calls going out to sellers, contractors, property managers, and prospects depending on which venture is running the campaign.

"The agents do not replace judgment. They protect it — by keeping humans out of tasks that do not require judgment."

The Data Layer

Revenue operations require data. Specifically, they require the right data arriving at the right time without someone manually pulling it. For Load Bearing Capital, Domonique Luchin built a nightly scraping system that pulls foreclosure filings, delinquent tax records, code violations, and 311 complaints across 14 Texas counties and loads them into a Supabase database with automated distress scoring and lead prioritization.

By the time a caller or agent reaches out to a property owner, the lead has already been scored, cross-referenced, and ranked. The conversation starts informed, not cold.

Similar data infrastructure exists for Load Bearing Demo — incoming RFQs get classified, priced using a stored pricing matrix, and routed for approval via Telegram before a bid goes out. The whole sequence from email receipt to bid submission can run without a human in the loop.

Revenue Operations as a System

Revenue operations — the full arc from lead source to closed deal — is where most businesses leak value. Leads go uncontacted. Follow-up falls off after the first touchpoint. Deals stall in the pipeline with no one tracking them.

Domonique Luchin designs his revenue systems to close those gaps explicitly: automated follow-up sequences, pipeline visibility dashboards, and AI agents that re-engage cold leads on schedule. The goal is not to replace the human relationship — it is to make sure the human relationship actually happens, instead of getting lost in manual task management.

What This Makes Possible

The practical result is an operation where multiple businesses can run concurrently without a proportional increase in human overhead. Lead sourcing, outreach, qualification, bid response, dispute processing, and follow-up all move with automation doing the heavy lifting — and humans making the decisions that actually require a person.

That is the operating model Domonique Luchin is continuing to refine and build out across the Load Bearing Empire.
